Syncophant does not host your files, proxy sync traffic, or require a Syncophant account.

Checkout runs on a payment provider acting as merchant of record. What you enter in its checkout form, such as your email and billing details, is handled by that provider under its own privacy policy.

The same provider issues and checks your license key. Activating a device sends your license key, a label naming your platform and a random installation identifier, and ordinary network metadata to that provider. The app rechecks the key about once a week, and works offline in between.

Syncophant does not send file contents, file names, local paths, or storage credentials anywhere.
